Omo : What to Bring

arrow Chaco sandals or equivelent
arrow Lightweight, packable sleeping bag
arrow water bottle with small carabiner to attach to raft.
arrow headlamp/torch w/ extra batteries
arrow brimmed hat for sun protection
arrow sunglasses with retainers
arrow waterproof camera for raft
arrow 2 pairs lightweight cotton or synthetic pants and long sleeved shirts (light colored, khaki or white is preferred as it will be the least desirable to the tsetse flies).
arrow swimsuit/swim shorts
arrow short sleeved shirt and shorts
arrow raingear
arrow fleece jacket
arrow lightweight hiking shoes
arrow toiletries
arrow book/journal for those relaxing afternoons at camp
arrow insect repellent and anti-itch cream
arrow sarong, kanga or some kind of lightweight wrap or piece of cloth for camp or bathing

Optional:

arrow video or still camera for off river
arrow binoculars
arrow small day backpack (small Camelback packs work great)
arrow Personal first aid kit (should include a broad spectrum antibiotic, band aids, antihistamine, antibiotic cream, pain reliever).
